It’s been 10 years since the classic teen movie Mean Girls hit the silver screen and a generation of young women started quoting the movie’s dialogue line-by-line. The film has become iconic for its golden comedic screenplay, written by the talented Tina Fey, and its realistic take on high school drama. From backstabbing popular girls to the art-nerd revenge, Mean Girls’ characters taught female movie-watchers more serious life lessons about high school, Girl World and womanhood than might immediately meet the eye.
I feel sometimes that a lot of roleplayers are too babied. No one is obligated to roleplay with everyone. No one is obligated to cater to anyone. Trying to please everyone will only run a person thin and cause them unnecessary stress. You don’t have to continue a plot or correspondence for the sake of not hurting someone’s feelings. Sometimes honesty hurts.
^ This. This x100. But it’s why I started being a bitch. Because trying to get -everyone- to like you is too much work, trouble, and I play this game to enjoy myself after work and after IRL shit. I don’t need to come home to another job. It’s honestly made my life easier. When you’re stressed out from playing the game, and RPing. Try to remember WHY you play, and WHY you RP. It’s for yourself, and your enjoyment. If someone doesn’t like it. That’s their own fucking problem.
